Hygiene
We strongly believe in the importance of keeping a clean and hygienic environment at our nursery school. That’s why we follow a daily cleaning routine that covers all rooms, including toilets, and ensures the kitchen area is cleaned thoroughly and consistently.
Our team is trained to use safe, eco-friendly cleaning products to maintain a safe environment. All toys are carefully sanitised weekly with child-friendly spray, and we carry out a deep clean at the end of each term to keep everything fresh and safe. Our furniture is thoughtfully chosen for children’s safety, and radiators are covered to prevent burns, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all.
We encourage children to wash their hands often, especially before and after snacks and after playing outside. Our dedicated staff also wash their hands and wear gloves when changing nappies, and we have a sealed disposable nappy bin in the toilet for added cleanliness. Plus, we follow strict health and safety protocols, working closely with Bromley Council to handle any infection breaks.
Safety
We truly understand how important it is to keep your little ones safe and make them feel secure. That’s why we use a video doorbell to help protect both staff and children alike- throughout the day. For added peace of mind, CCTV cameras are installed around the nursery school and grounds.
Our easy-to-use online registration system makes it simple to keep track of everyone’s arrival, with children being signed in as they arrive. Each child is also given a special pick-up code, which helps ensure their safety and security when arriving and leaving the preschool.
To add an extra layer of safety, we collect details and photos of two trusted parents or guardians authorised to pick up each child. We also keep a visitors’ logbook to check everyone who comes in.
All staff members are carefully trained, have passed DBS checks, and their information is securely stored on the DBS Update Service. In case of emergencies, we follow clear protocols, including evacuation plans, fire drills, and allergy response strategies.
